What is Alphatot?

Alphatot is an experimental weblog that is aimed at kids who are just beginning to read. The site assists in the recognition of letters and their sounds with a series of simple illustrations that kids can easily relate to.

The repetition of the sight and sound of letters are intended to help develop the basic skill set that is the foundation of literary skills. Tots from pre-school to grade 1 are the intended audience but the visuals appeal to children of all ages. Little tidbits of info about each letter are also posted for extra incentive to read.
